Le Rallye des Princesses is one of those rare events that
succeeds in combining the traditional with the innovative.
Inaugurated less than a year ago, the
first rally took place between the 18th and the 23rd
of last September-the concept nonetheless harkens back nostalgically
to an event fondly remembered by the men-and, moveover,
the women--who witnessed 32 runs of the original «
Paris - Saint-Raphaël féminin » rallye,
an event exclusively reserved for teams composed of the
so-called weaker sex, between 1929 and 1974.

The second Rallye des Princesses
has taken place between June 10th and June 15th from Paris
to the Côte d'Azur , with stopovers
at Nevers, Vichy, Satillieu en Ardèche, and Aix-en-Provence,
and ending at Juan-les-Pins. The 1500 km itinerary,
consisting entirely of minor departmental roads, has traversed
Monts en Velay, Ardèche, Vercors, Drôme, Lubéron
and Ubac, a golden opportunity to rediscover some of the
most beautiful regions of our country. Each of these five
stages has included several regularity sections, one of
them on the legendary Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit of Magny-Cours.
