The vocabulary of Classic Regularity race

ABC of regularity competitions

Between four and six times a day, on the 'regularity sections', a very precise average speed is to be observed. The difficulty lies in not knowing where the finish line is.

Inspection

This occurs before the rally itself. You will be asked to come in order to validate all the documents required to participate to the rally: driving licence, insurance, registration book. Dont forget that being in time for this appointment is welcome and recommended.

Staging point

Indicated area which corresponds to the road from the town of departure to the final destination of the day.

Link segment (SL)

Part of a section which is between two special and which is not part of the regularity rally itself.

Regularity control point (CHR)

Secret checking point which represents the end of the regularity area in order to see if the ideal average speed (33 miles/hour) has been respected.

Checking point (CP)

It can be secret or not and its aim is to check if the competitors have taken the right road.
