From 2008 FFSA Regulations - Art.4.1P
Classic cars up to 1980, model year, divided into following categories :
Highlighting the oldest automobiles, with allowances made so that everyone actually has the chance to win.
The average speeds will be determined by the category of age of your vehicle.
This system, which seems fairer to us, will operate by three categories as follows .
Groups and their average speeds
| Group 1 | from pre-war to 1945 | Average 45 km/h |
| Group 2 | from 1946 to 1953 | Average 48 km/h |
| Group 3 | from 1954 to 1963 | Average 48 km/h |
| Group 4 | from 1964 to 1973 | Average 50 km/h |
| Group 5 | from 1974 to 1980 | Average 50 km/h |
| Group 6 | Average km/h | Exceptionnal vehicles like R5 Turbo, Audi Quattro … |
Each category will be divided into the following classes
| Class 1 | up to 1150 cc |
| Class 2 | from 1151 to 1300 cc |
| Class 3 | from 1301 to 1600 cc |
| Class 4 | from 1601 to 2400 cc |
| Class 5 | more than 2400 cc |
