Snow, ice, brave explorations, great revelations, the joy of driving and a friendly atmosphere: this winter, the 54th edition of the historic Neige & Glace (Snow & Ice) regularity rally will not stray from the key principles that have built its reputation over these many years. Solidly rooted in the traditions set forth by our professional management team, this year’s event will be held in mid-January not only to take full advantage of the winter weather conditions but also to help everyone better prepare for the season’s many motor sport events. In 2008, the first regularity rally to tackle the challenging, Neige & Glace covered Alps will be more condensed, laid out along a shamrock-like route around a central hub, Aix-les-Bains.

The itinerary includes 3 full days of racing, with 30 regularity sectors along the 25 surrounding slopes, all at altitudes of over 1,000 meters! In addition, there will be three icy circuits designed for those who love a truly wild ride and the freedom to let loose on the sporting routes of Chamrousse, Lans en Vercors, and Alpe d’Huez, after mastering the 21 hairpin turns of the legendary climb. Another new twist in this year’s edition: the rules set forth for these three icy circuits will emphasize the drivers’ technical expertise. So make a note on your calendar today: rendez-vous in Aix-les-Bains on January 13, 2008 for the opening day of administrative and technical verifications followed by a benefit parade to support handicapped children. On January 16, the closing ceremony will be held in the lavish Casino of Aix-les-Bains. Please note that the enrollments opened as of July 15 offer early-bird discounts thru October 30 as well as special rates for those who sponsor new participants.
