Beginning in the Massif des Bauges via the Col de Marocaz (960m), the Château de Miolans, whose construction began in the 11th century, a sublime medieval edifice dominating the Isère valley (550m), which we will visit, the Col du Tamié (907m), then the famous ascent of the Col de l'Arpettaz (1581m) and finally the Col des Aravis (1498m), which will take you to the resort. A fine hors d'oeuvre to start with, and something to whet your taste buds!

Sunday 29 June 2025:La Clusaz - Mont Caly - La Clusaz

Exceptional mountain views and 210 km to devour like a pretty main course with the Col de la Colombière (1618m), the Col de la Joue Plane (1700m), the Col de la Joue Verte (1760m), and a lunch with a view of Mont Caly (1490m), then in the afternoon, the Col de la Ramaz (1619m), the Col and Plateau des Glières (1440m), a Mecca of the Resistance, before heading back down to La Clusaz! A magnificent day and breathtaking scenery in store!

Monday 30 June 2025: La Clusaz - Col de la Madeleine - Valloire

Another enchanting and colourful day!  After your chech-out, off we go for 285 km, the longest stage of our escape, via the Col des Aravis (1498m), the Col des Saisies (1657m), the Col du Méraillet (1605m), then on to the magnificent Cormet de Roselend (1968m), back down to Bourg St Maurice, then Moutiers to reach the Col de la Madeleine (2000m) where we'll have lunch. In the afternoon, the pass waltz continues with the Col de Chaussy (1533m), then the descent of the famous Route des Lacets to Montavernier, then back up to Saint-Colomban (memorable lunches at several Princesses rallies), to reach the Col du Glandon (1970m), then on to the Col de la Croix Fry (2097m), and back down into the valley towards St Jean de Maurienne to climb the Col du Mollard (1630m), then down the Col au 45 épingles to the valley, Villargondran and St Michel de Maurienne, finishing at the Col du Télégraphe (1566m) and down to the nearby resort of Valloire (1430m) for our final stage..

Tuesday 1 July 2025: Valloire - l'Alpe d'Huez

A very pretty 80 km dessert to finish, with more beautiful scenery to reach an alpine chalet in L'Alpe d'Huez, the stage for our traditional farewell lunch! Judge for yourself: if we stop off at Valloire, it's of course to climb the famous Col du Galibier (2642m) and then descend to the Col du Lautaret (2057m) in the heart of the Ecrins Massif, finishing in style on the exceptional Col de Sarène (1999m) to reach the resort of Alpe d'Huez (1860m) and say goodbye.
